Transportation

1. By Air


 

Qingdao Liuting International Airport (TAO) is about 31 kilometres (19 mi) north of the city. There are airlines that connect Qingdao with domestic cities as well as foreign countries such as Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, etc. In particular, airlines schedule several flights daily to and from major cities in China like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dalian, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Guiyang, Haikou, Hangzhou, Hong Kong, Kunming, Macau, Nanjing, Nanning, Sanya, Taiyuan, Wuhan, Xian, Zhengzhou, Shantou, Chengdu, Lanzhou, Tianjin, Jinan, Wenzhou, Changsha, Fuzhou, Guilin, and Zhuhai.



There are no shuttle lines between the airport and Qingdao University. So we suggest that you take taxi.



It costs about CNY66 for taking taxi from the airport to the Qingdao University International Center for Academic Exchanges.


 
 

2. By Train


 

Qingdao Railway Station was first built in 1899; it is situated in the South District of the city. It is the main station in the city, trains from there can reach all the main cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hefei, Tianjin, Changsha, Wuhan, Jinan, Xian, Xining, Yinchuan, and, Nanchang, Yantai, and Nanjing.



The North Railway Station is the new built station, which mainly operates high speed trains. From the station passengers can go to cities like Jinan, Changsha, Wuhan, Harbin, Yinchuan, Yanji, and Changchun.



From the Qingdao Railway Station you can take bus 304 or 316 to Qingdao University (16 stops). Taking taxi costs about CNY25.



From the North Railway Station, walk to the City Government station, then take bus 110, 316, or 311 to Qingdao University (4 stops). Taking taxi costs about CNY11.
